Hi everyone,
Tales games, if they get really popular, JUST LOVE creating books, movies, tvshows ect BUT ALMOST NEVER announces it anywhere to the point it becomes lost media. AND IF THEY DO THEN IT'S IN FUCKING JAPANESE. I'm a regular human, who lives in Europe and has NO WAY to access most of these stuff either BECAUSE they are not selling it here or IT'S IN JAPANESE.
THANKFULLY we live in an ERA where translators EXIST and are a godsend from heaven (thank you to all translators doing whatever your doing pls keep doing it). But they are VERY rare and don't have all the time in the world to translate all pieces of media THAT SCUMMY COMPANIES REFUSED TO TRANSLATE!!!!! (i'm watching you bamco).
Today, I'm here to share some of my finds and comments on SOME (english(translated?)) vesperia media (KEYWORD SOME BECAUSE I MIGHT BE MISSING SOME) and sharing them with you all :) (using safe links that even I, who is terrified of viruses, would use). ILL BE ESPECIALLY SHARING THE ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS and NOT much the japanese with no translations. (in the cd dramas I put the jp ones with no sub too since they were already on youtube.)
PS: English is not my first language, and I was typing fast without thinking a lot of the time, so there are maybe many typos.
Ps: contains spoilers for main game. Also this is nothing official, this is just my rants, my opinions and UNPROFESSIONAL retellings. SO PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE ME ON ANYTHING!

Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike
Information: This is a movie that came out about a year after the game first released. Since crunchyrolls HUGE strike on illegal anime websites it has become kinda harder to access but I noticed that it is on Apple-TV and you can still buy it on Amazon.
Review (not really, more or less my weird opinion/rant): I ABSOLUTLY ADORE THIS MOVIE!!! I love this movie so much words can't even say. It features Troy Baker and Sam Riegel from the original games otherwise other characters are played as other ppl. I love how at first it is more or less unserious escpecially Yuri. In this movie he is comedy gold and I love it. But as the story unfolds and the darker themes are revealed it gets much more serious. You can also see the relationship between the characters, puppy Repede <3 and Yuris beef with him. This movie also shows us and tell us about Finath Scifo (Flynn's dad) and how he died + Flynn's beef with him and I guess you can say the reason WHY he kept in the game always listening (at the beginning) Alexei's orders (but I might be saying nonsense rn).
Ppl love to claim that ''man THIS MOVIE IS SOOOOO NONCANON IT JUST HURTS!!!'' And they are telling indeed the truth as the game redcons some of the things the movie claims. So I ignore the redcons and i like to view this movie as canon, feel free to disagree with me i wont force my opinion upon you.
TLDR spoiler-free story (I'm doing this on the top of my head so I might be saying some bs): About (unknown actually) years prior to the game's happening. Post knight school (or whatever it's called) Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo are the both part of teh Fedrock brigade in the town of Ceasentania, where near the town aer is going crazy and they all gotta get to the bottom of it and find the reason WHY it's happening.
It's sure an experience! I defo reccomend it!

ACTUALLY IMPORTANT SIDENOTE FOR THE MOVIE!: There is a prologue CD DRAMA for the movie, and wouldn't you guess, IT'S IN JAPANESE! and to my knowlidge it doesn't have any english translation. Here is the link.

It shows us the relationship of Yuri and Flynn prior to the movie and how Flynn is being A TOTAL DICK Yuri. I believe this cd drama also shows the recruitment exam, where Flynn passed with flying colors but Yuri nearly FAILED the exam, only passing bcs he managed to kill a monster in ONE blow. Then it shows us their early days in the knights.

Tales of Vesperia (manga adaptation)
Information: This is the manga adaptation of the game (duh) into 20 chapters which came out back in 2009. The english translation is available on Mangadex (Translated by Ju-da-su) but you can find it on ebay in japanese. VERY UNFORTUNETLY IT IS THE ADAPTATION OF THE FIRST ACT ONLY!!! Apperently they ONLY adapted the first arc INTO 3 VOLUMES. What a shame. Lowedelta note: I used to think, back in my younger days, that one volume = arc, but apparently NOT!
Review?: Tbh I only read a few first chapters (to about chapter IDK :( I DONT REMMEBER) A LONG TIME AGO. It removes a lot of scenes from the original game like the scene where Yuri went out of his room to go help with the flood and go catch the evil ''mordio''. It begins in the jailcell. And like that It skips scenes. I can't fully judge since I haven't read all 20 chapters... Although I LOVE the artwork! It has a lot of personality. Would I reccomend reading it instead of playing the game? OH HELL NO! Like I mentioned above, it's missing ALL THE OTHER ARCS as well scenes being cut and all. Would I reccomend if you played the game? Yes, it is an inteersting view to see and recall the story of the game. I'd say it's worth having atleast a look for the amazing artwork!! There isn't much to say, it is a 1/3 of an vesperia manga adaptation with cut corners. But I personally found it boring :(.
TLDR spoiler-free story: Uh it's basically just an adaptation of the game from what I recall and assuming you're here you probably played through vesperia so I don't need to write it again,
Would I reccomend it? If you played the game, sure! Check it out, it has a some of changes compaire to the game! (prolly to save on budget :skull:) It's always good to widen your knowlidge.
ill call out my bullshit before anyone else does, i didn't really know what to write abt this manga it didn't seem all memorable to me compare to the other vesperia fictions.
Tales of Vesperia: Path Taken by Those of Brave Vesperia

Information: Apperently it was published with the ps3 version of Vesperia, but got discontinued. (All these vesperia mangas keep getting discontinued :sob:). You can read it on Goldentigersfestival's tumblr but right now the manga is under maintnance.

Tales of Vesperia: Flynn, The Holy Knight
Information: It is a manga that adapts the story of Flynn prior to the events of the game but after the events of The First Strike. It was featured in a magazine and got 3 chapters before it got ENTIERLY CUT, but unfortunetly only 2 chapters were ever translated. You can read it on mangadex I've found all 3 chapters all fully translated. You can find them on goldentigerfestival's tumblr - Chapter 1 was translated by Wings of an angel and chapter 2 by Eternal.
TLDR spoiler-free story: Not that I entierly remember the story but I'll try. The first chapter shows us how Flynn is about to arrest a child bcs he stole some wheat from some scummy seller. And in the second chapter even though it's called Flynn sum sum (the manga) it focuses on Sodia going out of here way to investicate a mansion.
Would I reccomend it? Uhhh if you seriously got nothing else to do, go ahead. I guess it shows you where Sodia got alllll that admiration for Flynn. But if it were me, I wouldn't go out of my way to re-read it again.
Tales of Vesperia: The Empty Mask
(lowedelta side note: NOW, NOW WE ARE FINALLY GETTING TO THE PEAK FICTIONS!!!)
Information: It is a 3 volume, 20 chapter manga that adapts the story of Raven (before, during, after the war). There were a lot of other adaptations like I think it got a light novel, cd drama, and a visual novel through one of the tales mobile games. The manga adaptation got created in 2012 (the light novel got created in 2010). You can read the translation on mangadex or on this google drive folder. (I personally prefer the google drive.) (I'm sorry I couldn't find the translator.)
Review (more or less my weird opinion/rant): ON GOD I LOVE THIS MANGA it's so amazing. For context I wasn't a fan of raven and he was always benched in my teams cause I didn't like him. THIS WHOLE MANGA CHANGED MY PERSPECTIVE ON HIM. THE STORY IS GOOD FROM THE BEGGINING UP TIL THE END. My only problem with it is that it doesn't really tell you much abt Yeager, which I hope it would. It kind of pulls on you a 'Ernest Hemingway' where you have to assume: what and who he is based on the flowers he is holding. I WOULD GO BACK AND RE-READ THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. LIKE I'D LOVE TO SAY MORE BUT I CAN'T BECAUSE EITHER IT'S SPOILERS OR it's again quoating myself saying that i love this one. JUST GO AND EXPERIENCE IT YOURSELF, IT'S A GIANT RIDE. A ROLLERCOASTED OF EMOTIONS.
TLDR spoiler-free story: A high ranking noble of Farryheid's second son, Damuron Atomais, is way too promiscuous. To teach him how to not do shit like that he sends him to the capital to become a knight, silly enough he only goes because he thinks he can find beautiful women there. Which doesn't really happen. There he meets Casey, a fellow knight, who loves helping the lower quarter. But other knights have it our for her, after heltping her getting out of a sticky situation, they get closer as he becomes a part of her platoon. And so on they go to war, the rest you can read yourself.
I DEFO RECCOMEND IT!!!! RIGHT AFTER YOU FINISH THE GAME YOU SHOULD READ THIS! IF YOU DON'T, YOU'RE MISSING OUT ON ABSOLUTE PEAK.
Tales of Vesperia: Geneology of the Condemned/Convicted (pre-teen (part1+2))
Information: It is a prequel (about 15 years prior to the game) focusing on Yuri Lowell and flynn Scifo living in the Fountain Alley (Lower quarter). It got a light novel, sound novel and a manga. You can read it here on Tumblr (The manga is right now under maintanance). (Translated by Goldentigerfestival). 6 out of 6 chapters are translated :). THE MANGA VERSION IS A CUT DOWN VERSION OF THE LIGHT NOVEL! PART 2 WAS NEVER ADAPTED (not talking about the part 3).
Review??: Don't even bother reading this if you haven't read the light novel, it's a little bit cut down and missing Yuris inner thoughts (which i really liked in the light novel dunno if its relevent to the story.). Something I liked to do was finish a whole chapter and then go look at the manga (back in my day, it wasn't translated so i was just looking at pretty images :) ). I'll glaze it when I get to the light novel.
TLDR spoiler-free story: Flynn and his mother move to the lower quarter. Flynn immediatly gets bullied by the local kids because he comes from the other side of the wall. As I like to call them ''Yuri's gang of 7 year olds'' live in an orphanage in the lower quarter owned by hanks and Jiri (his wife). Yuri not giving a shit in the slightest abt the new kid does not want to bully and beat up a random ass kid but his gang still wants to square up and gang up on Flynn infront of his house. The rest READ IT YOURSELF IN THE LIGHT NOVEL, that was just chapter 1.

Information: It is a short manga adaptation of a short part of the 1st chapter of the light novel adaptation which explains why Flynn's cooking is so unbelievbly ass. You can read it on goldentigerfestival's tumblr.
Review?: It is the continuation of GotC but this feels more like filler tbh. (BUT NOT FILLER LIKE MANNN TS SUCKS BUT LIKE FILLER MAN THIS IS AMAZING BUT NOT REALLY RELEVENT TO THE STORY TYPE SHIT). I'd normally say don't bother with it if its in the light novel but this one is short and i love the artstyle of this one.
TLDR spoiler-free story: I think i've already said the whole plot just in the information tab :sob:
Nice short manga to read after you finish part 2.
Lowedelta sidenote: This should be all Vesperia mangas that are available in english. Although I might be missing some comic anthologies? Not sure. Please correct me if I am wrong and missing something. (I mean only missing translated stuff)
Light Novels:
SIDENOTE?: I THINK (keyword think) there are MORE unstranslated light novels here (than mangas) which I WONT mention like for example Empty Mask (Raven's novel) or Blue Sky (Rita's novel) since there are no english translation. But I still may be missing something. I HAVE FOUND BLUE SKY.
Tales of Vesperia: Silence of the Dragon Rider
Information: This is a prequel + adaptation of judith story in a light novel taking place before the Great War in Judith's POV. Unfortunetly only part 1 and 2 have been translated. Part 3 has never been translated to my knowlidge. Yeah, no. I take it back EVERYTHING IS TRANSLATED. First book was translated by Sincere, the other book by Auriga (thank you.). You can find them on their personal blog.
Review? uh not really: As of right now I've only read the first book and I remember how much of a snoozefest it was for me at first but then it just goes and goes and becomes so much more interesting. You learn of how weird of a cult the krytians are and how Judith became friends with Ba'ul AND (OKAY THIS ANGRED ME) HOW SHE HAD TO COOK AND STUFF FOR HER DAD AT 9 YEARS OLD! I haven't read the 2nd book yet so I can't say much about it.
TLDR spoiler-free story (doing this from the top of my head so not so sure): It focuses on Judith who is 9 years old and her dad Hermes. We see him create and then have to destroy his creation for a certain reason while his daugher goes normally to school but falls behind her peers until she meets a mysterious creature.
GO AHEAD AND READ IT AFTER YOU FINISH THE GAME. Although be prepared cause it has a lot of boring scenes.
Tales of Vesperia: Blue Sky
Information: This is a prequel (?) story of Rita. It is available on Auriga's personal website (right under the silence of the dragon rider)
NOT A Review: I have not read this one yet, cause I didn't even know it had a translation up until reacently, so i cannot judge it yet.

I WOULD EVEN SAY THIS WHOLE BOOK IS WAY FUCKING BETTER THAN THE ENTIERETY OF THE GAME ''TALES OF VESPERIA'' I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH IT CHANGED MY LIFE. I GENUENLY NEVER CRIED THIS MUCH DURING A BOOK THAN DURING THIS ONE. PEAK FICTION THIS IS PEAK FICTION!!! (i'm overreacting here yeah but I just want to say that I really like this light novel).)
Information: This si a prequel light novel about Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo about 15 years prior to the game. You can find the translation by Delicate on their tumblr. It ALSO CONTAINS Addendum: A Memorandum on the Ancient Dragons WHICH is a story about the general LORE of the whole world of Terca Lumireis AND EXPLAINS STUFF THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EXPLAINED IN THE FUCKING GAME!!!!!!
Review: If the note didn't say already... I really like this novel. For me not even a single moment was a snoozefest for me, I loved every scene. And without spoilers I CANNOT tell you which parts of the whole book were my favorite. But I have to say, I loved auntie Jiri, I loved Yuri's gang of 7 year olds and stuff and I really loved the ending. It had me crying until I decided to hop on part 3. Seriously, you maybe might not like it but please, give it a try. Part 2 is way more emotional than Part 1.

Review??: Except for the silly filler at the beginning I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT to me the begnning was a total snoozefest. BUT AFTER THAT ON GOD ON GOD IT KEPT GOING AND IT WAS GOOD WITH EVERY WORD THE STORY GETS BETTER AND BETTER ESPECIALLY WHEN IT SWITCHES VILLAINS. I love the CONTRAST of Yuri's vs Flynn's actions during the whole book. AND like the first book in here I also love the ending. Without trying to spoil anything it's really hard to say anything!
TLDR spoiler-free story: A few years after the event of the first game. They sense that something bad might be coming. And so it does... A CENSUS!!! Suddently ppl of the lower quarter become citizens of the capital? But why??? hmmmmm.... (please read it yourself I fear of what I might say OFC AFTER YOU FINISH THE FIRST BOOK).

Let me say it right now, I DO NOT CARE FOR THE CD DRAMAS and I have an honest beef with them. So I won't be reviewing them and such. I'll be linking them and giving you breef summaries of what's going on or outright stealing them from someone's description. (nor like anyone cares for my cringy reviews anyway LMAO) I might read them someday but that day won't be today.
Lowedelta note: I'm aware there are a shitton of cd dramas that never got translated into english, I'll link every single one I'll find. Please tell me if I'm missing something.

Summary: Rita make some sort of machine and they all switch bodies. Boys: Yuri -> Karol, Karol -> Raven, Raven -> Yuri. Girls: Rita -> Estelle, Estelle -> Patty, Patty-> Judith, Judith -> Rita (or something like that that I remmeber).
Honestly these are all of the cd-dramas I could find on youtube. There are defo more but I have no idea where they could be.
